The Love Church (TLC) is a growing church of all ages with a heart for all people. Since our humble beginnings in a nearby residence during the Jesus Movement of the 1970's, TLC has blossomed locally and has stretched to touch the nations of the earth. There have been ups and downs in our collective journey--but God has been good the whole way!
Having a name like The Love Church is interesting. Some people think it's wonderful and others think it's a bit corny. Whatever your reaction to our name, however, please realize that we are intentionally emphasizing what Jesus called the two greatest commandments--to love the Lord our God and to share His love with our neighbors. The whole world is searching for love, belonging, and acceptance. The fact is, we gave our church this name years ago in hopes that it would ignite a spark inside those who come in contact with us that perhaps this is a place where God's love could be tangibly experienced and expressed. Time after time we have heard people say, "Now I know why it is called The Love Church." There is not much else that could be said that could make us any happier!
We have always said we are not claiming to be the most loving church in the world--or perhaps even in our town--but we are aiming to be! Our church is not perfect, mostly because of the people that it is made up of. However, we believe and know that God can take flawed human beings and do mighty things with them and through them in the power of His divine love.
